Celebrate This Week 5.10.14
It's always good to end the week on a positive note. Sometimes we concentrate on the negatives. We have a choice. Choose positive. Choose to celebrate. I will be joining Ruth Ayres and her weekly link-up, Celebrate This Week. Check out all the other celebrations HERE
Celebration #1: I had a parent ask me for some books to read to her child's class since she was Mystery Reader. She was so enthusiastic after - loved the books and she was so excited she was all ready to set me up with other parents and getting them books for Mystery Reader. Glad it was a successful day for her!
Celebration #2: It's Teacher Appreciation Week. I'm very thankful for the teachers I work with. We took quite a journey together this year and I'm grateful they stuck with me through it all!
Celebration #3: This week is over! It was a long, strange week. It started with the stomach flu in our house, so I'm glad to say this week is over!
Celebration #4: Our 4th graders are reading A Snicker of Magic with their classes as an extended text. I've been in contact with the author, Natalie Lloyd, and I've really enjoyed telling her how much the kids love this book! The students are really getting into the book and I love listening to their conversations.
Hope you had a good week too!
Oh, how I LOVE the book A Snicker of Magic!!!! What an amazing list of celebrations!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that the flu was at the beginning of the week (past woes!), and that the rest of your week was a nice one, Michele. I imagine there are many who love hearing book titles from you! I do! Have a lovely mother's day!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Sometimes thee are great weeks. Sometimes the weeks have sad or bad moments. Yet each time we can choose to find and celebrate something positive. Books and reading can always make the list. Leaving sickness and stress behind means better times are ahead. I am glad you celebrated today.
ReplyDeleteYou must have really inspired this Mom who was a mystery reader with your passion for books. Yuck to the stomach flu - our family had this earlier in the spring. Nothing fun at all about it.
ReplyDeleteGlad your family is feeling better! Snicker is at the top of my summer reading stack.
