Nonfiction Picture Book Wednesday - Sibert guesses 1.18.17

Every Wednesday I join Alyson Beecher from kidlitfrenzy and other
kidlit bloggers to share wonderful nonfiction picture books.
The intention of today's blog post is to give professionals that work in the
education field new nonfiction reading material and ideas to use
with students to promote a love of reading nonfiction materials.

Alyson Beecher at kidlitfrenzy.com and I have had a lot of fun playing with Sibert guesses.  Have you been playing along?  Check out our previous posts:

  1. I put Jazz Day on my list, Michele, but not A Poem for Peter. I liked it, but thought it wasn't as good as others. I'm really looking forward to Monday!

    1. I loved Jazz Day but I wonder if it strayed too far into fiction for the Sibert. Her poems are wonderful but some of them relied on her imagination when she couldn't definitely identify people.

  6. I was sad to not see Some Writer anywhere today, but I am so happy for Giant Squid! I thought the choices for Sibert were very political which was interesting.
