My Favorite Middle Grade Books from 2015

It's that time of year when countdown lists pop up.
Here are mine for 2015!
Thursday:  My Favorite Middle Grade Books

Every year I fall farther and farther behind in my reading.  It's because amazing books are constantly being published, I just can't keep up.  Here's a list of middle grade books that caught my attention this year.  The only rules for this book list were that I had to read the book in 2015 and the book had to be published in the years 2015 or earlier.  Luckily for me, I also read some amazing 2016 ARCs.  I chose not to include them on this list since they do not publish until 2016.  Although some will definitely be on this list next year!  Here are this year's standouts:

  1. I feel like I fell farther and farther behind this year too. So many middle grades I wanted to read and didn't get to. But in general, 2015 just wasn't my year for reading. I think I liked the middle grade graphic novels I read best, especially Roller Girl and Sunny Side Up.

  3. We have many reading tastes in common! I also loved Wish Girl and The Seventh Most Important Thing. And Orbiting Jupiter - well, how I adore Schmidt's novels!
