Spotlight Friday - Holiday Roundup 12.11.15

Time to get ready for the weekend!
Kick up your feet and find a good place to read.
Sharing #booklove for your classroom or library.
Spotlighting a book or two because these books deserve the spotlight!

It's mid-December!  That means I'm pulling out the holiday books at home.  I have strong memories of having Christmas books read to me when I was young - How the Grinch Stole Christmas and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas are still holiday favorites for me.

Looking to add to your holiday collection?  Try some of these new ones:

Click Clack Ho! Ho! Ho! by Doreen Cronin
Those farm animals are back at it again, with yet another surprise for Farmer Brown.  Love that they zip line in this new holiday adventure.

How to Catch Santa
How to Catch Santa by Jean Reagan
This will appeal to younger readers.  And pull it back out in March when it's time to start plotting how to catch that tricky Leprechaun.

Dear Santa, Love, Rachel Rosenstein by Amanda Peet and Andrea Troyer
I love the tag line of this book "All she wants for Hanukkah is...Christmas".

When Santa Was a Baby by Linda Bailey
The illustrations by Genevieve Godbout are gorgeous.  Fun book about Santa growing up!

The Night Before Christmas illustrated by David Ercolini
The timeless poem is updated with illustrations that look a little bit like Clark Griswald's house.

Santa Clauses by Bob Raczka
I'm cheating here a bit because this was a last year release.  But we pull it out to read 1 haiku a night (new tradition) and it's a wonderful book.  Enough of a reason to share again!

Any favorite new holiday books you're adding to your list?
